taking that trip to Florida I had planned from April 1st-6th, shopping just for fun, going to my favorite sit down restaurants and all of the other places I’m missing so much right now!! There are some public places I seriously took for granted, like the canal walkway in my city. I’ve always loved going into downtown and taking long walks down the canal. There are murals under the bridges and gondola rides in the summertime. The air is warming up and plants are starting to bloom as spring rolls in and I wish that I could go for a walk on the canal.
I had been making plans to visit a local museum, one of my favorites that I haven’t been to in about a year, before the stay at home orders and business closures began. Now I’m missing being able to pay $40 to walk around a building and look at things more than I ever thought I would! In my state so far, we have been under a stay at home order for thirty four days. I can’t wait for it to end so that I can explore the museum. I’m thinking about paying to go to all of the local museums after the quarantine is over.
Never will I ever take things like the movie theaters and full service restaurants for granted again. Luxuries we don’t normally think twice about have been taken away for weeks now because of this devastating, life threatening virus. Honestly, I didn’t ever think I’d see anything like this happening in my lifetime. I just can’t wait for things to subdue so life can maybe feel slightly normal again.
I miss being able to use the playground equipment at parks to swing. I miss not having to keep my distance as I passed others on the trail. I miss not feeling anxious when I leave my home for just little while to grocery shop or get some much needed fresh air. Speaking of feeling anxious when I leave, though, has anyone else noticed that people at the grocery store are NOT following social distancing orders????
As soon as quarantine ends I’m about to invade people’s personal space like they’re invading mine during this literal pandemic!!! Okay, probably not. But, I can’t wait to not get angry and anxious while I grocery shop because people are getting way too close to me. An alarmingly large number of these people have masks and gloves on too, as if they think wearing it makes social distancing not apply. Please sir, I’d still like you to stay 6 feet away from me.
What are you most excited for when things aren’t so crazy anymore? Is there anything you want to plan? I definitely want to re-plan my Florida trip! I was so bummed because my seasonal pass to Universal Studios was going to expire right after my planned trip, but due to extended park closures, I’m getting the same amount of days they’re closed added to my pass!
