This is a very common question I get asked, being a full time model. Getting naked and pleasing people for a living sure does make others curious! When I was younger I had always wanted to be a star. Movie star, pop star, you name it, I probably fantasized of becoming it. Shortly after I discovered porn I started wondering what it would like to be a pornstar. It immediately appealed to me; the people in the videos looked like they were enjoying themselves so much, while getting to earn a living expressing their sexuality. I’ve always been comfortable with nudity and sex, and I’ve always been a very sexual person, so it makes sense that I would end up choosing to be in adult entertainment.
I had no idea how I would be able to achieve this goal of becoming a nude performer! In my mind it seemed like such an unrealistic thing to want, and definitely not something the people in my life would be supportive of. That’s a big obstacle many have to face when choosing to be in the adult industry; how those close to them will react to choosing this career path. I’m lucky enough to have very supportive parents and nearly all of my friends are in the industry since I’m a full time model now.
Curious about how I could get myself into this career path, I began doing research and quickly discovered camming. This wasn’t how I got into sexwork, though! Not long after I found out what camming was I found the world of online domination. This appealed to me because although I felt comfortable about how my body looked, I used to be self conscious about my pussy. In domination it’s more common for Dommes to not show full nudity than in traditional XXX porn, so I felt it was a nice way to segue myself into the adult industry. BDSM is something I’ve had an interest in ever since I became sexually active. I’m a Switch in my personal life, so entering the sexwork world as a Domme didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.
I started my journey into being an adult webcam model and clip artist with simply selling photos, short clips (20 seconds to 1-2 minutes long), and text based chatting sessions. In the beginning I was working a regular job in a restaurant as well. As I began to do better in my online work, and work more hours at the restaurant, I felt really overwhelmed and stressed out. I started to resent my restaurant job since I didn’t have the time I wanted to devote to creating content and marketing myself online. On the other hand I was afraid to let go of consistent, guaranteed checks. I didn’t believe in my own abilities enough and was hanging onto my vanilla job. For a year and a half I worked 40+ hours a week as a head employee at the restaurant while also being involved in the adult industry online.
Finally, in October 2018 I decided to take the plunge and quit the only job I had ever had. I put in my 2 weeks at the restaurant and I haven’t looked back since! About 10 months prior to me quitting the restaurant I had decided to expand from strictly Domme content to more vanilla and XXX clips. I slowly pivoted the types of videos I was creating and began utilizing platforms I hadn’t in the past, and by late summer 2018 I started camming on MV Live, the first camsite I ever tried! At the end of August 2018 I had gotten approved for my first apartment! I was living with a boyfriend at the time, so I got a 2 bedroom to have a room specifically to create content in. This gave me the opportunity to start creating a lot more videos and photo sets than I had been able to in the past. I spent September pumping out so much new content and saw how positively it was effecting my adult career. I knew if I continued working the restaurant job I would never see the results I wanted to in sexwork. This is my passion and I needed to devote all of my time to it.
I feel incredibly lucky that I was able to enter this industry and become a full time adult model at such a young age. I’ve made my own dreams come true as far as my job, and I’m self employed at just 21 years old. I cannot wait to see what my future holds. I plan to continue being involved in this industry for many, many years to come and I want to try my best to accomplish so many things.
