A post here is long overdue!! I had definitely meant to write an update as soon as I got home from visiting Kezia Slater in Washington, I have so much I want to share about what I did there, and what I did with her! Unfortunately I got super sick the very next day after my returning flight! I flew home on Sunday, February 23rd and arrived back at my apartment around 6pm EST. I felt great and spent the evening watching cartoons and eating a giant burrito. (I ended up regretting that very much.) I woke up early Monday morning feeling just awful. I immediately knew I was sick because Kezia had already gotten sick on Sunday and warned me to take care of myself.
Monday morning til around Wednesday afternoon I was a mess. Totally bedridden, in between sweating and chills, unable to eat anything outside of toast, applesauce, and Gatorade. My sinuses started acting up, my throat swelled, my head wouldn’t stop throbbing, my body started to ache. Basically every cold and flu symptom imaginable happened to me within the past week. For a day or so I practically lived in the shower. I’ve been sleeping a minimum of twelve hours a day to help my body fight off this infection quickly.
It’s now Sunday and I’m finally feeling like my usual healthy self again. I don’t get sick very often so it really upsets me when something knocks me down like that! Now I’m feeling behind on my blog, making content, and my personal responsibilities! I haven’t even unpacked from my trip yet because I’ve been so busy recovering and trying to catch up on work in between resting. I am very thankful that I was able to take the time I needed and rest as much as possible. Had I gotten sick today, I would be working through it since it’s the very beginning of a new month! Luckily I’m getting to start off the month refreshed and rested!
I can’t wait to properly share with everyone how my trip to see Kezia went! I got to do so many fun new things in addition to making lots of naughty content with her! And Washington state is so beautiful! I’m from the Midwest where everything is not only flat and boring, but this time of year it’s all dead and brown as well. I went to a couple of parks while I was out of state and over on the West coast everything still looks so green and pretty! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t envious of that. If you’ve been following me on Twitter for a while, you’ve probably seen me talking about wanting to move away from my current state, and part of the reason is because of how ugly it gets in the winter! I want to live somewhere that the plants don’t die every season when the warmth goes away!
Tomorrow is the start of a new week and I have so much planned already. Tons of new blog updates, video uploads, and content! Check back daily and sign up for email updates so you never miss a new post.
